Barron’s hires Politico’s Cassella to cowl economics and coverage

Megan Cassella, a reporter for Politico, has been employed by Barron’s to cowl economics and coverage.

She’s going to begin on Monday.

Cassella has been with Politico for greater than 5 years and has been primarily a commerce reporter. Beforehand, Cassella labored for Reuters primarily based out of Washington, overlaying the economic system, home politics and the 2016 presidential marketing campaign.

It was in that position that she first started overlaying commerce, together with Donald Trump’s rise because the populist candidate vowing to renegotiate NAFTA and Hillary Clinton’s cautious sidestep of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

A D.C.-area native, Cassella earned her bachelor’s diploma in enterprise journalism and worldwide politics on the UNC-Chapel Hill.
